Sprint Distance

Overview

Are you a short distance type of racer? If so, the Sprint course is just what you are looking for. Swim straight off the shoreline for a loop right to the transition area where fans will be cheering for you as you grab your bike and get to peddling. Experience the same course as the Olympic Distance by doing a loop over the Julia Tuttle Causeway that takes you into Miami Beach. Get the same challenge of climbing the causeway while taking in the beautiful scenery and amazing view of Escape Island. The final leg of the triathlon is where you show everyone what Sprint really means.

Swim Course (0.4 KM/0.25 Miles)

The Sprint swim is straight out from the shoreline for a left turn that then stays parallel with the shoreline and another left turn towards the swim finish.

Bike Course (21 KM/13 Miles)

The one loop Sprint Distance bike course utilizes the same route as the Olympic Distance race taking you over the ocean on a straightaway into Miami Beach using the Julia Tuttle Causeway. The single lap course provides you with a challenge as you climb the causeway while remaining within view of Escape Island. The course also passes through Miami’s revamped Wynwood Design District and past some of Miami Beach’s well known mansions along Alton Road.

Run Course (5 KM/3.1 Miles)

The sprint distance run course uses the same route as the Olympic Distance, but participants turn around at Jungle Island and then continue along the Olympic distance course.


Cut-Off Times Sprint Distance*

FINISHERS OF THE MACK CYCLE ESCAPE TO MIAMI TRIATHLON BEFORE THE 12:20 PM (OR 4 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES) CUT-OFF WILL RECEIVE A FINISHER’S MEDAL.
